About

My name is Caroline Bergin and I am a printed textile and mixed media artist. My love of hand rendered textile design comes from my training in the prestigious National College of Art and Design Dublin where I attended and fell in love with the process. My textile Art pieces are all done by hand and in my studio in Co Wexford Ireland from screen prep right through to the final piece.

I was born and raised in a remote part of Ireland in Co Wexford called Gurteen. A lot of my work is based around this beautiful part of the world. My inspiration comes from peace and tranquility that can be found in the sometimes missed parts of rural life from the bird resting on the branch to the little cottage where life has stood still in the mist of the morning its the views and moments seen only from the hedgrows and where nature is almost left undisturbed.

I find inspiration everywhere and from it my connection to tranquilty right through to my final piece the process of hand doing every piece brings me immense peace and satisfaction which I hope carrys through to my audience.

I run various classes and workshops for both adult child or groups with the focus on old school crafts and processes. We slow right down in the class relax and let our creativity flow whilst also giving us the brain break we all crave at times.
